Earlier today while I was fixing my broken exhuast hanger (using a closehanger) I noticed one of my rear shocks is blown as it was covered in shock oil. SO my question is since these were BDS Shocks and they didn't last 8 months what shocks are ya'll using or do ya recommend

Im currently using OME's and have put over 30k hard miles on them. Excellent shocks, I wouldnt run anything else.

BDS is great about warrentys...I've got BDS shocks on for just over a year now with no problems...Might be worth looking into...

I may check into that but I don't like the way they feel so will prob go with differant company

I have Pro Comp ES 3000s, and they have worked well for a long time. I have had them on another XJ, and liked that set as well. HTH!!

Call BDS and warranty them and get new ones..and call it a day.

i would get them replaced for free.

I have a set of ranchos sitting over here i would take very little scratch for if you needed front ones.

Thats true, but they could have just as easily said you were abusing them and not honored anything at all. You would be surprised what companies will do.

they said that they have had about 16 sets returned and so far they have all been from 2 batches
