well howdy neighbor. I'm from SW Pee ya!! nice to meet you. As far as the windows, check the wiring in the door boot. and just where it enters the cab. the wire in these jeeps is tiny and fragile. and usually brakes where it flexes.
I'm not sure about a 98 but usually a yellow wire is for an airbag. My 96 has an airbag but the sensor is in the steering wheel. Sometimes a yellow wire can control the memory circuit of a radio you said yours is staying on. Maybe the PO tried to put in a different radio and jacked up the wiring. It wouldn't surprise me given the PO was a 17 year old kid.
