I’m a new user here, and going on a few years as the owner of a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude Plus. When I bought my Jeep it was all stock with chrome window trim, chrome emblems, chrome grill inserts and stock 17" satin carbon rims. I’ve never been a fan of chrome and over the last few months it got the best of me, so I decided to do a chrome delete and black out my rims (just to match, basically). So now, I have 2 questions that any help and/or info would be much appreciated. I’ll make the questions bold since there’s a lot of detail on what I’ve done thus far (details to make sure things were done right and future stuff is done right also)

1) I did the chrome delete with Trimbrite Blackout Vinyl Tape as a way for me to make sure I’d like it, which I do, so now I want to make it permanent. I haven’t been able to find black replacement trim for the windows and really haven’t found any info on whether something like this is made.. So, I’m wondering if there is black window trim replacement and if not, what’s the best way to black out the chrome around the windows?

2) For my rims, I went ahead and did them properly (I think) so I heavily cleaned the rims then started layering on the Dupli-Color Satin Black Wheel Coating and did several layers on each rim. Then I started layering on the Dupli-Color 1K Clear Extreme Clear Coat/Gloss Finish and did 5-6 coats on each rim. They turned out perfect, until I had to get new tires put on and the service advisor screwed them up around the edges when he was taking the old tires off…. So, I’m wondering if there’s a way to fix the edges without having to redo the whole process again, and if not, is there any other paint or advice I could use for repainting the rims? (i.e. a more permanent paint or harder to chip, better paint/clear coat I should use etc.)
