My turn signal switch has been sticking when I use it to change lanes and such. Not when I fully push the lever all the way, just when I push it up to make it come on. Hope THAT makes sense.:)

Tonight we stopped to help a guy who had just hit a deer and when I tried to turn on the hazard flashers, they would not come on unless I had the right turn signal on. Is this telling me it's time for a new turn signal switch?

Now you have two steps to take to turn on your flashers instead of the usual one. I would consider that a hefty amount of work and would look into getting that switch replaced, if that's the problem. :D

I would check fuses. Sometimes a fuse can be loose. Then I would just check wires. by GENTLY pulling on them one by one just to check to see if something is loose. then you might be thinking of getting a new switch. Those things are hard to replace and cost a pretty penny.

So am I to assume that the flashers and turn signals are NOT connected in some way? That the sticking right turn signal and the flashers acting up are not caused by the switch?

That could still be the case but a bad ground can cause the same effect. Like 4 months ago every time i turned the turn signal on my hazards would come on cause my a bad ground.
