time for a tune up as we approach 150000 miles.....Advice?
need to replace shocks in the rear but might do the front also....,advice?
oh almost forgot 2005 Grand Cherokee 3.7 4wheel or all wheel drive

The question of shocks is not easy to answer. It depends on what kind of ride you want, within limits of course. Shocks by Monroe, which is what I use, compress easily and dampen rebound. Shocks like KYBs are a street shock for handling and will ride rougher. There is a full spectrum on this which is why there is no one size fits all type thing on a recommendation

The worst off-road would be mostly sand, slight mud, rutty road.
towing will be under 1000 lbs mostly 500lbs or so.
need highway drivability.
sounds like a Monroe type might work well.
no rock climbing!
