so i was walking out to my jeep tonight and this lady in a grand am parked over the line so close to me that i had to open my door and press it up against her car and slide through. it wasnt a crappy car either..it was almost like new so i kind of felt bad having to do that but what else was i suppose to do. i left a nice line of dirt where the door was :D and someone needs to close my passengers side door from the outside because it sags. whatever, people really need to learn to park.

that is all

I'm walking out from Wal-mart late last night with my wife and I see this lady hesitating behind my Jeep.

Doesn't make any sense unless she's leaving me some note, you know the one where they want rides in your lifted beast?

Anyway I'm going to walk back there and see what she was doing.

Turns out she rolled her shopping cart behind my Jeep and then walks to her POS SUV and gets in.

I walk around, see the basket, and look at her through her window. I raise my hands as ask her "What's the deal?!?!?"

My wife tries to hush me, you know I'm not acting right again.

I started to push the basket in front of her SUV so she could get out and move it before she could pull away.

You know things happen, but a apology or some acknowledgment that she did something wrong would have been nice.

yeah im a cart pusher at work so i see people push carts into other peoples cars all the time because theyre so god damn lazy. i expecially love it when people pop carts up onto the curb..damn lazy pieces of ****

anyways, if people do that, ill try to stop my line of like 40 carts behind their vehicle so they cant get out (we dont have a cart machine, do it all by hand so yeah, makes life alot easier if ya push it into the caorrals) and ill take my sweet lovin time to go get it. so funny to see their reactions.

Hey I do that. It's more that I am at the store for my convenience than lazy, but I'll go with lazy. I never put the basket in it's little coral, unless I'm parked right next to it.

If someone is collecting the baskets I'll push it over to them. If I knew a fellow Jeeper was collecting the baskets, I'd happily put my little basket in the coral to help out.

Edit: I am always sure not to put the basket in someone else's way. :D

Ohhhh that irks me in a bad way - the shopping cart thing. There's never a corral more than 50 feet away, and yet people leave their carts in parking spots, up against people's cars, in the mulch, next to the light pole... drives me f***ing crazy. I always return my cart, and if there's three or four carts between me and the corral, I grab those too and put them away. People look at me funny because I actually exert an ounce of energy and it makes them look all the more lazy and worthless.

9 times out of ten i return the cart to the corral. Few instances where I pop them up on a curb (so they wont roll into someone). Usually if there are not cart stations or if it is raining.

I usually park at the back of all parking lots just so my jeep doesnt get dinged up with stupid drivers. I only like trail rash not door dings

I dont think I want to post on a public forum what I did to the last person that parked that close to me and over the lines.

The person before that, I will...

I was parked in the second spot in the line. I pulled in forward. The person parked over the line and left about 2-3 inches between us. I tried very hard to get my drivers side door open enough to squeeze through. I couldnt, so I climbed in through the passenger door.
I then pulled around to their drivers side door and parked where there was not a space. Since they were in the first spot of the row there was none. I parked close enough that I almost need a ground guide for safety. I wrote them a note thanking them for parking so close to my door and let them know that I was soo excited that I just had to return the favor. I also drew a small diagram of parking spaces. The first was an XX between two lines, the second was an line and then an x with a line through it and a circle around it with a cross. I stuck it under the windshield wiper. I sat in the XJ and waited.

When I seen someone approaching the car I got out and started heading into the store. As the guy screamed at me I started signing to him. He screamed at me, "Are you deaf!?" I shook my head yes, and signed some more to him. He continued to scream at the top of his lungs and I continued to shrug my shoulders and smile. I pointed to his windshield and mimicked writing a note. I walked away. As I did, I could hear him screaming for me to move my car. I popped inside the store and watched him try to carefully squeeze into his. No go. He had to go through the passenger side as well. Im sure he was cussing the whole time.

Ive also wrangled up every loose buggy that I could find and parked them in loops around the offending cars.

Please dont be the one that parks like an asshole, Im not sure how my XJ will react to having its personal space invaded. Im sure it acts much like its owner though.

About the shopping cart thing..... I once was in Wal-Mart with my wife. When we were done, we went out to the Jeep to load up and leave. I was pulled in forward in a normal parking spot with cars all around me, just as normal as ever. My wife said she would go put the cart away (the cart coral was only like 2 spaces away) so I hopped in and started getting ready to leave . She hopped in a couple seconds later so I put it in reverse, hit the gas to leave, and half a second later....CRUNCH!!! I was like wtf??? I then got out to inspect and to my surprise there was a cart wedged between my bumper/gas tank area and the ground! The exact same cart my wife just "put away"...:brickwall: I pulled forward, dislodged the cart, pushed it 12 feet to the coral, got back in and was like....wtf???? Her explination: "oops, I wasn't paying attention" :brickwall:

yeah see, i can understand when its raining popping the cart onto the curb if thats where you are, but people that park in the way back to avoid door dings and then pop their carts onto the curb, that is what gets me. especially on weekends when we are extremely busy. i usually just push the carts through all three corrals and push them in. makes life easier.

one time when it was extrenely windy out, this mexican guy with a lowered silverado on 22s left his cart right by his truck, backed out, a huge gust of wind came, took the cart and swung it into his truck and left a huge ass scratch in it. i couldnt help but laugh. maybe its just me, but he deserved it. another time it was raining really hard with huge winds and people left their carts out and they all went flying into peoples cars everywhere. it was like a huge cart demo derby. there was only like 5 carts out there but they were raising hell! some of the after math was insane.
