Engine Auto part Vehicle Car Automotive engine part

Got this lil guy in the mail today, that kinda made my day, on top of it being the end of wednesday. So I went to town and put her in!

Wire Electronics Electrical wiring Technology Cable

I figured the best spot to mount the fan controller was next to the battery since the temp probe cord isnt that long. I still have access to the thermostat, so thats all I care.

Oh yea! Look at that fan spin! Oh, I also hooked up a second e-fan from my old jeep. So when both of these fans turn on at 210, it doesnt take them long to cool it off to about 185°.

I also wired it so that the fans will come on if the temp under the hood reaches to high a temp after shut down. It took less than ten seconds to cool off. I'm happy with the install cause that also means no more over heating on the trail. Took maybe two hours to do it.

Are you running dual electric fans and no A/C pump now? Should take a little effort off that 4.0 and more power to the ground, nice! Worth it? I might have to do this to my XJ if it's that easy
Yea, its definitely better, if youre going to do this, youll have to go junk yard hunting, but you will need minimal parts for the swap, the most expensive part was the new belt I got, aside from the fan controller, which was $30 bucks

With all the wirk I have done and a complete functioning exhaust with no leaks and the header, I'm pushing 20 mpgs plus with mixed city/hwy and lead foot syndrome. Not bad. Now that I'm saving money I can put it torward my lift. Still thinking of getting RC since what I want would cost a ton with other companies, 4.5" la kit. Plus a buddy of mine runs RC and has no issues with them.

Got some quotes on lift kits, one guy from RC can get me the LA kit I want for $1150 shipped to my door! Thats the one thats normally $1399 before shipping. So I'm sold! I may order it this next week once my check is deposited in my bank account!

Vehicle Car Windshield Mode of transport Driving

To make the fever worse, I seen this driving around while I was driving to another job. Lol, looked like this guy was riding on 35s with a 6.5" lift.

So it seems like I may be doing a clutch job real shortly. Im having issues engaging gears and after pumping the clutch a couple time I can get them to engage. Bad slave cylinder anybody?

This kinda sucks but I'm glad it happened now rather than after the lift, and btw I got all the parts in the mail the other day and ive been pb blasting. If I get the weekend off next week I'll begin the install process, if not it will be memorial day weekend

Here's some eye candy, now I know some of you don't like RC, but these components are heavy duty, don't think I could have gone wrong with this purchase.

Gun Firearm Machine

The flex joints, RC wants the installer to get close and personal with them. That fine causd now I know theyre put together right and all are uniform.

Can't wait to get this stuff in! Gota do the clutch first though...

Delco makes good clutch stuff... I prefer ACT personally, but there's not much support for Jeeps there.

The only problem you might encounter with that longarm setup is the fact you have a manual tranny... IDK how much RC changed their crossmember design in three years, but my buddy had issues with mounting his AX15 to the RC crossmember.

Thanks for the input. Hopefully the crossmember doesnt give me trouble, but if it does I'll find a way around it. I usually come up with some creative solutions.

Got a ton of car parts in today so now its just a matter of time before I get the jeep in the garage. I have so little time due to working 6 days a week that I can't get much done with the jeep. Not that I'm complaining, I just wanna get some of these projects knocked out.
