Like I said...I've got a couple REAL friends. I've got some "buddies". And I also have people who I just hang around with now and then....

That's the 3 main layers of people I consort with...

Maybe you're just not a very likeable guy??

JK! :p

I have 2, maybe 3 friends that I feel like I could count on no matter what. Then a few that would have my back if they were already there and had nothing else to do, and then a larger group of dudes that I just hang out with on occasion, run into at the bar, that kinda thing. But I'm a bit of a loner, so I don't really make strong ties with too many people. I tend to think most people suck, so I could take 'em or leave 'em.

I have a lifelong friend named Rich. He's been my best bud since 5th grade and we both are 28 now. We hang out once or twice every week, confide in each other about anything, and help each other out when needed. I admit as we grew older, our preferences changed, as in he started liking other things than what i like, but that has not changed our friendship. We call each other BROTHERS. Most of my other friends have faded over time.

I have one High School friend that I see about once a year and call a few times a year, but that is about it except my wife who has stuck by me for over 40 years. I have other friends too but don't think that I have known them more than about 20 years and they are to be depended upon at any time of the day or night. So I have a few good friends True. Thought you may turn out to be one of those too but not so sure now. J/K

Haha, no you're okay in my book Blue. Alot of folks on here and on my local forum are good dudes - that's just that "Jeep thing," though. If only more people had it, this world would be a better place. :D
Isn't that the truth!! I have one friend from HS that I stay in contact with. I see him when I go home to OK to see family. I do have about four people that have my back no matter what, and vise-versa, here in CO. It seems that the older I get the less I have in common with all of the old HS friends, completely the opposite of what I thought would go down as a kid!! Like True said earlier, I've met some folks on here that, if we lived closer together, I think would be good friends as well! You guys know who you are, there's a group of folks around here that really seem like good people, but it's hard to know being on a computer and all!! You just have to trust your instincts when dealing with people. Hey Elnino, I think that you'll find, as you get older the people that really matter in your life will rise to the top, at least that has been my experience. Later guys!!

My wife is my best friend and I know that no matter what she has my back and I've got hers.

Beyond that I have one true friend that no matter what he will always be my "Bro". I have known him over 30 years and would trust him with my life and the lives of my family. He is a wild Indian from the prairies and I may be the only person on Earth that can call him that and walk away from it :D I won't repeat the Cree word he calls me :)

But like others have said, I have some people I can hang out with and some I just sorta know, and some I simply tolerate.

Trust is a strange thing ... it takes a long time to get it, but only a second to lose it.
