Ive been looking for like a month on a easy way to retard my timing:brickwall:. i found this ""If you have a Jeep with a standard transmission you can remove your crank position sensor (located on the bellhousing of the transmission) and take a small round file and elongate the holes to make it adjustable. You will want to go about 1.4" on either side of the stock holes in the sensor. This will give you about a 2-4 degree adjustment in timing."" But why would it only work on a STANDARD transmission?? I know its in the same place on a auto, well actually every vehicle. Do you guys think this would actually work? :dunno:

I have a put a turbo on it, its still running too lean. I have larger injectors but at 9 psi it just dies out. I'm thinking if i can get a couple degrees retarded (with out dropping it on the head, Belto) it would solve alot of the problems.hopefully.
What are you running for engine management? You can use a BTM like I do to pull timing under boost. Mine is actually still too rich after bleeding off my reference line. I am going to get another FMU from the shop tomorrow.

What size injectors are you running and what are you using to scale them down?

P.S. I have a set of 36 lbs injectors that are like new. I bought them from southbayfuelinjector.com remanufactured. They have 10 miles on them if you are interested.

I talked with him over PM's. He wants to retard the timing in boost. He can use a MSD BTM like I have. He also needs something to control larger injectors and give him some control when the boost comes on.

I work at a performance shop part time fabricating turbo kits. I got the BTM out of the basement, brand new in the box. The FMU I got on a Honda website in the classified section and the pump I bought from www.xenocron.com
