Tis the season! I'm in the mood for a good scary movie....do you like 'em? Any suggestions? What is your favorite(s)?

Anyone seen Saw V? I can't wait.

As for me, here are some of my favorite thrillers:

The Saw series
The Bone Collector
Seven
Poltergeist
The Original Exorcist
Carrie

How about you?

My favorites:

Dawn of the Dead (1978 original)
Day of the Dead (1985 original)
Night of the Living Dead (1990 remake)
Evil Dead
Evil Dead 2
Army of Darkness
Cannibal Holocaust
Make Them Die Slowly
City of the Living Dead (aka Gates of Hell)
Buio Omega (aka Beyond the Darkness)
Zombie (aka Zombi 2)
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1 and 2 (the rest sucked...)
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003 remake)
The Texas CHainsaw Massacre: The Beginning
Hellraiser I, II, and III (the rest sucked...)
Phantasm I, II and III
Tenebre
Suspiria
Profondo Rosso
The Hills Have Eyes (original)
Poltergeist
Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things
Cabin Fever
Hostel I and II
Planet Terror
Death Proof
Nosferatu
They Live
The Thing
Nightmare on Elm St.
Nightmare on Elm St. 2: Freddy's Revenge
Wes Craven's New Nightmare
Friday the 13th 1-8 (they sucked after that)
The Devil's Rejects
American Psycho

That's all I can think of right now. The last Saw movie I watched was the one with the people in the house and the big pit full of syringes and the furnace thing and that big black guy that was running around grunting the whole time. So I won't be watching Saw V, but maybe I'll rent them when it comes out, since this is supposedly the last one.

Army of Darkness is hilarious. Love it. Found it on DVD, now in the Bruce Camble(sp?) collection of 1.

Shaun of the Dead - very funny
Poltergeist - damn fine movie.
They Live - Amazingly good. Neat idea.
Hellrasier was good, really liked that girl, she looked tough.
The Exorsist

I even enjoy that Ted Adventure, Constatine. Special effects were top notch. The guy that played the devil is funny. Saw him in "Minority Report" yesterday. One of the few movies I'll watch even though Tom Cruise is in it.

Buddy of mine in Dallas made a movie with Tom's old flame, Mimi Rodgers. He said he rode to the studio with her every morning. I asked if he ever asked Mimi "So what was Tom really like!" lol.

Good call....but they're really more disturbing then scare, aren't they???

Rob Zombie movies are great, and so are Bruce Campbell flicks!

I've also heard Marilyn Manson is giving the movie industry a go...that should be interesting! :pop:

Marilyn Manson huh? That will indeed be interesting. I think the dude is scary enough without having to be in a scary movie.

Haha belto & nino, what's up with you guys? A good scary movie is fun every once and again.
Scary = good, slashers = bad.

The scariest thing I've seen in a while was "The Happening". Specifically where the construction worker was having bodies smack the ground all around him.

I was waiting for one to hit him.

When i was younger, the movie Aliens scared the crap out of me. After watching it 79 times so far, it's like a cartoon now.

The hills have eyes is good.

John Carpenter's The Thing. When that guy's head came off and sprouted legs like a crab....That was creepy. We had a small crab in our aquairum and it got out once, I could NOT pick the damn thing up. ;-)

Saw 1

Alien
