My new Auburn LSD states that its required I must shave 1.00"x0.44" off of the housing, where the carrier cap bolts into. Who TF designs a carrier that requires such modification, other than Auburn Gear?? It looks as though I have no choice, and am not too happy about modifying my housing.

Thoughts anyone?? Is there anyone here that has had to do the same thing?? And if so, how did you go about it?? Thanks in advance.

That is a new one on me. But you could trim the sides of them a little without any big deal. Do you have to do the same with the housing

I ended up having to shave roughly 10x the amount Auburn Gear stated I needed to shave in order to get the LSD carrier to fit and spin without hitting the inner housing wall. Total BS I had to do all that IMO!!

I agree, you shouldn't have to do that
