Cool, I'm printing off this "free" ticket. I'll see you there!
Just so I don't get shafted, I photoshopped the bar code out. I know of people who have been screwed before because if the fake gets scanned first, the real ticket becomes void, and whoever has it is out of luck...:brickwall:

I'm not gonna be one of "Those" people!!! :D

What I've heard from their new album is WAAAY better than anything they've put out since The Black Album, IMHO!! Load, ReLoad & St. Anger were all loads of sh*t!! It's about time they put a decent album out!!

Sweeeet. I've never been one of those "die hard" Metallica fans, but I'd love to see them in concert just to say I did it. First on that list though is Iron Maiden. Holy Eddie's ghost that would be awesome.
Lamb of God should be cool to see too. There's another band opening called "The Sword"...I've never heard of them before, but I'm sure they'll be rockin' the place too!!

I haven't seen Metallica play live since 1994 when they did a tour with Suicidal Tendencies, Candelbox (Who got booed off stage that night), and probably some other bands that I can't remember right now...Anyway, it was a pretty sweet show! Looking forward to seeing them again.

I wonder if that's the first time they Jammed with their now current bass player, Robert Trujillo....Hmmmm.....?

You'll like The Sword. I actually had a chance to see them live a few years ago when they were playing dive bars in places like Morgantown, WV. I didn't realize they'd moved on to the main stage. They're a little lighter than Metallica and L.O.G., more of a Southern Rock style of metal. Good stuff.

AWESOME show! We've had so many shows in the past few weeks, that I had to miss some or I'd be way too far in the negative in my bank account. In the past week alone we had:
AC/DC on Friday
Disturbed on Sunday
Metallica on Tuesday

And I could only pony up the cash to go to one of the three...

I think I made the right choice!! The sword is a great band...glad I got to check them out (Good call, TrueBlue, they kicked some butt cheek!), Lamb of God was almost destructive the way they rocked the place, and it was cool that Lamb of God singer got the crowd to scream for the road crew, as they are never recognized for their hard work. He also talked a little bit about the men and women in both Canadian and American armed forces, which was cool. Didn't really expect that, and they deserve recognition every single day for the job they do overseas! LoG also has a pretty impressive drum kit...Made Lars' drum kit look tiny in comparison. As for Metallica....Well, me thinks my hearing is going to be somewhat hooped for at least a couple of days! They played lots of stuff from Master, Kill Em All, Justice, Ride the Lightning, a couple from the black album, and a few from the new album. Great mix of old and new! The stage was huge, and there were some pretty cool visual effects (But I don't want to spoil it for anybody else who may go to a later show...but they rocked just as hard (if not harder) then the last time I saw them 14 years ago! The only thing I would have liked to see/hear, was a good drum solo. Most shows I go to, the drummer usually take 5 or 10 minutes (sometimes even more) and just destroys the crowd with nothing but percussion, but not this time (Lars did pull some guy out of the crowd and got him to beat on the drums for a couple of minutes though...I bet that guy is still crapping his pants! I guess they don't need to prove anything to anybody though...they've sold out enough shows, sold enough records, and stood the test of time!

If you like good loud live music, I'd recommend this show for sure!

I guess now I can recover financially from all the shows I've been to in the past while, because I think just about everybody who could come, has in the past couple of months. I wish they'd spread it out a little more. Recently in Vancouver concerts have included:
Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Clutch, Gogol Bordello, Tom Morello, Chris Cornell, AC/DC, Disturbed, Metallica, Serj Tankian, Raconteurs, Motley Crue, (Not all in that order, and Cheech & Chong are doing a show on Friday (or FRYday if you will), and probably a few I've forgotten about, and a bunch I don't really care about like Madonna, Jay-Z, Janet Jackson.. I couldn't spend the cash to see all the shows I wanted to in the past couple months, but I got a good chunk of them in, and probably suffered some permanent hearing loss too...Oh well, what'cha gonna do?
