So back in Indiana and have a garage to work in. I decided to get some smaller things done this time around, and really want to stay away from the really involved repairs. So, after having yet another serpentine belt get shredded. I changed out the power steering pump pulley, flushed out the fluid, and resealed the front wind shield.
I had been getting some leaks in strange places. I am hoping this takes care of most of the leaks, I am in the middle of fixing the rear defogger on the flip glass. I hope to have that finished up tomorrow and curing for 24 hours.
I also have plans to clean the carpets all around. It should be in the 70's around here tomorrow, and hoping to get that accomplished. I also have plans on replacing the drain tubing for the sun roof. I am really tired of the leaks/lack of proper drainage for the sun roof assembly. I am hoping with changing out the tubes and a re-alignment of the window will solve the issues. If I can manage to finish these tasks:I'll call it a successful mini vacation and have gotten somethings out of the way that have been irking me over the last few years or so....
I have been looking for a late 70's early 80's FSJ Cherokee. I am hoping to find a solid starter: as little rust as possible, black interior, wide track, and a V-8(preferably a 401). I really don't have a garage to work out of back in CO, but I think I can start looking for a solid base for what I am looking to do. There is a FSJ cherokee and wagoneer rally in Ouray, CO on July 15th, and I hoping to get a better grasp on what it is gonna take to get something solid and have it running well enough before winter.
I've had it with computer driven cars, and am looking to get something with a bit more class, style, and ponies...
