Sometimes when new things come out, we aren't fond of how they look. For instance, the JK wrangler. Everyone hated how it looked but now most people love it.

When people started using front and rear TJ flares on the xj, i thought it was totally UGLY cuz the front flare does not match up with the xj's body lines at all. It's been two or three years now and i still think it's looks totally funny.

I would recommend using two rear sets of tj flares instead of the front flare. It looks like it's OEM plus gives you wider coverage:

JPmagazine did it:

That's just my opinion...;)

I agree. TJ front flares on an XJ look like crap & totally out of place. I put TJ rear flares all round on my XJ and that's the balance you're looking for between the 2 models. Perfect fit after trimming ...

If you have your fender trimmed at the bottom of ther marker lights the front flares look better becuase they stop at that point, Personally I think the rears on all four corners look like crap but we all have our own thoughts.

I will say it this way, if ya trimmed at the bottom of marker lights use the front flares if not then use the rears
