need to know where solenoids are to test them. also which wire to test coming from the trans module under the dash. jeep runs great in reverse and 1-2
trans. works in reverse and 1-2 but not in drive or 3

The solenoids are inside the pan. You can check impedance from under the hood though. The connector for the transmission in on the passenger side of the engine compartment. Can't tell you more without knowing the year and drivetrain setup. Quick test to ensure the transmission is to see if it shiftsd properly in manual mode. There is an inline fuse on the TCU harness near the TCU. Pull the fuse and drive the Jeep shifting manually. Of course you'll not have 2ed gear but it should shift 1st, 3rd and 4th.
