A few months ago I bought a 1987 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4.0 that has been sitting forever well I’ve slowly started bringing it back to life. Well yesterday I went to put a new radiator in and somehow
broke the line so now when you crank it it’s shooting out transmission fluid. What’s the best way to go about repairing this? In the picture I uploaded you can see the line that is broken.

Did you loosen the nut before trying to remove the fitting? That line is flared and can be cut and reflared if you have enough metal line.

I thought I did but guess I didn’t I was running out of light so was trying to hurry.
Was gonna try and get a new one today as long as that’s the right part in the pic.

That Looks the end that goes into the transmission. Is has these funky quick connects like a fuel line. The radiator side has a steel line that is crimped onto a rubber hose that gets crimper onto another steel line.
