I'll never understand how seemingly intelligent people could vote democratic. I am sure there are strong disagreements with this position, but just the tax and spend alone is reason enough not to ever vote democratic. Entitlements and shades of gray instead of wrong and right are others.
Let's not even get into the gun control issue, or the anti-military democrat positions.
All in all I like what President Bush and the prior republican congress has done with two exceptions.
Spending money like drunken sailors.
Not shutting down or borders to illegal entry into this country.

Keep in mind what I said was tax and spend. These guys just SPENT and SPENT.

President Regan had the right way of doing it, shrink the federal governemnt and cut spending. We need less government and more money in our pockets. Taxing is bad. Always will be. The Federal government should be into two things. Research and Development and the protection of this country.
Research and the military our government has proven they can exceed in doing right.
I'm ignorant all the time, I just hide it well.

that is why this election is so retarded. There are so many idiots voting for both sides. Race, religion, and friends are the wrong reasons to vote for someone.
I know i am voting for McCain but no because he is white or didnt start his campaign in a terrorist's house, but because of more reasons such as what republican's believe and the fact that i come from a family owned small business!

No, but a lot of people actually DO believe that crap. I've heard, on numerous occasions, people say that they won't vote for Obama because he's a Muslim. The fact checking stops there for them, but the sad thing is, HE'S NOT A MUSLIM! And even sadder than that, is that no one bothers to ask, "So what if he was?" Is there something wrong with that? Is America not a safe haven for all walks of life? Or have we abandoned that principle for a steady diet of cornbread and bullshit? An Islamic presdent is no more frightening to me than a Christian president, because both religions have a long record of war crimes and opressive dictatorship. Give me a Jewish president next term, as least they're a docile bunch. Scientology hasn't started any wars, but those people are just plain scary. :rofl:
But faith should have nothing to do with it, and as a matter of fact should have nothing to do with government, ever. When's the last time you heard on the news: "Fighting broke out today when a band of Atheist rebels attacked an Agnostic stronghold."? If the world was run by faithless pricks like me, it would be a much happier place.
