on a 96 XJ 4x4 automatic, Dana 30 up front and Dana 35 out back, I hear a very low howl when I accelerate, I can be driving at a regular speed of 40 mph and I push the pedal and on the first 500 revs I hear this howl, what can it be, I dont have any vibes and the Drive Shaft is not loose at all

That could be one of many things.

You could check your bearings, as they can wear out cause that "howling" noise. It could be the gears, but that would probably be a last resort, especially if they've never been messed with. Your driveshaft may be nice and tight, but it's possible that it has become unbalanced. If you have any lift and no SYE or Tcase Drop it could be coming from driveline vibrations.

Can you better specify from which area of the Jeep the noise is coming from? Rear, front, rear driver, rear passenger, below your seat, near the tcase, etc?

I agree with 200xj can you hear where the noise is mostly coming from?? Mine has alot of road noise.... At least I hope thats what it is. I wouldnt think gears too much. Be more on the driveline somewhere.

ok a friend says it might be the differential, so my question now is, since I have the other XJ, it would be easier and way way cheaper to swap them, besides the leaf bolts, and shock bolts and break lines and drive shaft what else do I need to disconect and can I reuse the parts for the drive shaft part

Just because they're both d35 doesn't mean the gears will match. Are both Jeeps the same engine and transmissions? Still best to check/verify that they are the same ratio....
Nothing more to say here.....
Just in case you're looking.....

Jack the rear axle in the air, but make sure it's on level ground and front wheels chocked.

Put the trans in neutral. Grab a rear tire and spin it watching which direction the opposite rear tire spins.

Opposite direction will be an open diff.

Same direction will be a limited slip diff.

While your at it, pull a wheel and check the brakes. Worn shoes can make noise, espescially if they are riveted linings.
