Dude. I wish I had your dedication. Want to come do mine?
I would but you have no idea how much this beats me up.
But it is what fills my time in my semi-retirement. LOL.

Sad thing is I think the Jeep might have to go under the knife.
Paint is taking a turn for the worse. Small sections bubbling here and there under the paint.
One place that really concerns me is the roof.
Bottom of my 2 passenger side doors are shot but that has been since I owned it.
Rust is starting on my driver's side rocker.
So I figure my options are:
Just bite the bullet, get all the body work needed done, and painted.
Raptor her.
Or just let it go.

Been pricing new badging lately. WOW. That is if I paint.
Bedlining might just do it over the badging but I like how the
brushed metal badging offsets the black Jeep.
Thinking it might look pretty good on a bedlined one too.

Yeah I could see where that might be a problem on a '96.
Some of your badging is dimensional but isn't some of it decals?
Thinking putting decals on Monstaliner won't happen.
I am not even sure about dimensional badging like I have on my '00.
Maybe you can smooth out the small section that a decal would go.
At least you can reuse some of your badging.
Cause aren't some of them connected? Will come off in one piece?
My '00 is separate letters. I have been researching how to get the badging off in one piece.
Don't think it is possible. And me trying to put each individual letter back on ain't gonna happen.
Never get it right. LOL.
Even if I make and try to use a template.
Through my stalking of Ebay I just came across this:

That is the same part number that I bought from my Dealership cause I was missing one on the passenger side rear quarter.
Thinking I paid about $32 out the door for it and that was cheaper then anywhere else at the time.
So I just said screw and bought 2. Hey for $22 for both I will take a chance.
Beats the hell out of what I paid at my Dealership and the $80+ that they seem to cost online for 2.
And many sites are showing them discontinued.

Also despite me trying to turn my Sport into a Limited clone I said I would never change the word "Sport" out for the
smaller "Limited" one piece badge.
Rethinking that now though. LOL.

Thanks for your input. I am not concerned about my factory decals. It's the custom made ones that I hate to loose. Especially since they are from some jeep clubs that are no longer together. I was thinking of taping over them and leave them unpainted.

Ah. Did not realize it was custom decals you were trying to preserve and not factory ones.

Yeah, it's for some sentimental reasons since a couple of them (friends) are no longer with us.

So today we are going to see if I can finish October maintenance.
Somebody awhile back used this on their door and hatch seals.

I don't know about other years but '00 have little holes in them spaced out.
The guy who used it said he gave each hole a squirt. Said he was happy with it so figure why not.
Normally I silicone my door seals every winter. Come from one time not being able to open my hatch
in my '96 I used to own.
Debating on whether to spray this on the outside of the seals or stick with the silicone.

Oh and I have my driver's side mat soaking to clean it up.
Like an idiot forget to get the 2 front mats done when I washed the outside.
Nobody ever sits in the back so no need there. LOL.
See how much more I get done today.

So I used the 3 in One for the outside of the seals too.
Mats are washed and interior is all detailed.
Not that you can really tell but it smells nice and is all nice and shiny.
