in my local forum i asked for a used dana 30 for cheap..or free...

1 hour later i have 3 offers...for free

i already have 3 of them...

one is of an xj.....but it has a broken upper control arm....
second one is of a yj...but has the knuckles..
and
third one is of a tj with the axle shafts....

this is my question..should i?...

put everything on the dana 30 of the tj..which is a lp and regear it.....or..should i get an aftermarket bracket for the dana 30..weld it on the hp 30 and regear it as well...

plans change...a bit...

now this is whats happening

4.56s front and back open difs and 35s...

my brother is keeping the cherokee...my dad is going to buy me a tj once i find the right one....so thats it by now...

so its safe?...

i mean...i trust the welds....should i trust the turd under it?...im also going to truss it

i know..hehe...im just saying...

well once my brother has it he will lock it or do something....i think a truck on 35s is a BIG/NICE first car...

just kind of put a big gusset on the axle...my brother is going to DD more than wheel it...and i dont think is worth putting that much money on a 30..unless you were making a tank with 33s and 30/44combo

If you have a serious reason for a truss then do it right, if not then why are you wanting to put a truss on at all?
