Wait...am I reading this right? You people are sending/receiving 3 to 4 THOUSAND text messages every month? Don't you have jobs or school where you have to do work?
I guess my average 15 messages/month isn't much at all...
Back in the olden days, if we had something to say to somebody, we just yelled "HEY! JOE! WHERE ARE YOU GOING WITH THAT GUN IN YOUR HAND??? (Or whatever it is we had to say...)

Me too. I work online and and often work from home in the evenings, so no real need for texting.
I usually do it while doing other things so its not like im sitting there just texting.

Mostly right hand, but sometimes my left thumb sneaks in for a little tag team action. But I probably only text about 100 times a month. Maybe less. If I want to be communicating with someone directly, I'd much rather just be in the same room...

Geez you guys are text freaks. I rarely get 500 and i'm deaf. Deaf people's main use of communicating is TEXTING. I guess i'm not popular 
For the OP question, i use both. Hard to use one with a blackjack II phone.

i text around 10k texts a month....
between my
gf and i is like 6k and with my friends around 4k...
i text a lot...like they said..i dont sit and text...i do it while doing a lot of other things...
is easy
just by saying
"hey"
then asking how are you?
then saying good and you?
then by saying what are you doing today?
etc etc etc
you got your self 10 texts....multiply that by 5 to 10 people an day...well there....:thumbsup:

Less than 500/mo and mostly to my daughter and from her. That way she can respond when she gets a minute and I am not really interupting her daily activity. Hard to keep up with two small kids running around.

It's great Amy. I would recommend it. i got it on www.wirefly.com for free. Cost $35 a month for unlimited email/internet. Unlimited text is additional $20 or so but they have limited plans too, like 200, 1000, etc. Service is great, range is pretty good except in the bathrooms at work. I really wish it would work in there so i can entertain myself while purging toxic waste....but anyways, it has 3G internet which is really fast, almost as fast as cable on good days, and faster than dial-up on bad days. It's basically a mini-lap top. It has windows mobile software, very nice camera that takes good pictures and videos. Alot of memory too. I occasionally watch movies and download youtube videos on it, which is pretty neat. I had two t-mobile sidekick pagers prior to this but this phone blows them away.
