I bought a watch several years ago. I really didn't think about how long I have had it until just the other day, and I was pretty surprised at how old it is.

It's a Casio DW-1000 and I bought it around 1982. The "lithium" battery was advertised to be a 10 year battery. Amazingly it lasted about that long. I recently replaced the battery and started wearing it again since it is much thiner and lighter than my Casio G-Shock watch.

So this makes my watch ... ding ding ding ... about 26 years old!!!

I don't have a watch....I guess the oldest thing I have is a magnifying glass on a gold chain my great grandma Pink gave me, I guess it's probably about 70-80 yrs old. I need to ask my grandpa for a better estimate.

I got about two years out of one once. That's my record. Typically a month is pretty good for me. And that's with doing my best to take it off before doing anything that should wreck it...

Haven't worn one in about 4 years now.

26 years is pretty amazing.

I have a twenty year old Omega that was given to me for a 35th birthday present but I am not the original owner because it was a reconditioned one my Dad bought for me. Does it still count. Other than that one I have a 25 year old Seiko that my daughter got me for fathers day when she was about 10 or 12 years old. I don't wear it any longer but is in my box of jewelry.
