Ok xj peeps Im confused this peace is beside the vac.pod under the dash on the passenger side It has 2 bolts that hold it in .I've seen it on alot of vehicles but never had no idea what it was for now the ? has aroseon its purpose is .

That is a resistor for your ac/heater blower. If your fan doesn't work on one speed or another it is most likely this being bad.

I had to replace this culprit on one of my previous jeeps. That old experiance realy pays off some times.

HCR or heat control relay. Only had to replace one. They rarely go bad.

self-destruct relay. when you unbolt it, the vehicle should self-destruct. If it does not, then it's bad....and you are lucky.
