i was thinking off buiding my own bumpers, rock sliders,roof rack, etc
where do you buy tubing and sheet metal at, home depot, menards, lowes, dont carry any of thies things

check, construction supply sellers, my mom does that and sometimes people go to buy small stuff for building bumpers and roll cages

You need to be VERY careful doing that. Many construction supply houses don't carry the correct thicknesses or strengths of material for what we need.

Do a search for Roxtar Fabrication. He is a Land Rover parts maker in your area. He would be able to point you towards local steel vendors.

Look in the yellow pages under 'steel supply'. Also, welding and machine shops typically will carry a good selection of steel.

And, you can look up 'tubing' to find a tubing supplier... Or 'shafting'. But normally they're under 'steel'.

Anyways, the type of place you want will have racks and racks of steel, aluminum, sheet, plate, etc... And a scrap bin.

Check out welding shops, sometimes you can get lucky and go through the scrap bin free of charge.
