I was wondering if anyone can tell me if a fuel sending unit, float and fuel pump from a cherokee would work in comparable year Comanchee. I just added a 1987 short bed 2wd to my collection,my plans are to convert it to 4wd and auto , thanks for any info ,:brickwall::

I not a 100% sure but I think it will, comanches ares pretty much exactly like cherokees except for the pick up part

The pump... yes
The sending unit and float... No.... the tank is different and they don't interchange. But the pump rides in the sending unit/float assembly

The sending unit is my biggest problem, I know the fuel pump itself is the same but the P/O destroyed the sending unit and float, I guess I had better hit the salvage yards and hope for the best thank for the replies

Thank for the replies, here is an update, I found a complete tak with a good pump and sending unit with skids and it only cost me $ 50.00 ,installed everthing yesterday and after hooking up all of the missing vaccum lines the motor starts up and sounds pretty good, now I can begin the swap to 4wd as soon a the right parts are available:cheers:
