Ya if you look at the actual springs back to back there is a noticeable difference.
so you can actually buy just the front lift springs for that amount of " and swap the fronts to the back and you save that money....

cheap lift

Front springs from a V8 ZJ will give 3.5 or 4 inches of lift when installed in the rear
yes this is true. if you have the v6 zj take out v8 zj springs from the front end and put the stock front v6 springs into the rear and install the v8 springs in the front gives approx 4" lift then if you need more lift 2" spring spacers should do the trick

yes, go to any local junk yard and just pick of springs from a v8 and put them into the front and take the v6 stock front springs and put them in the rear. at a junk yard for both springs they are about 40-50 for both as apposed to spending at least 400 for an actual 3.5 lift kit its a no brainer save the 350 and put some more mods on your jeep!!!

Well on the 4.0 engines and any other engine, the more air you can get shoved into your engine the better the throttle response, fuel mileage and a little more HP gains. You will notice the most difference on take off and driving up hills. Couple the bored throttle body with a high flow intake and exhaust and you will be smiling :D

This is one of those mods that are worth the money and time spent with clear and immediate results too.

The answer to your question is yes. but it is strongly recommended on getting after market control arms for articulation and better handling. There is a lot on the internet about doing this swap and other ideas so you should have no problems on what year models are capable of doing this as well as how toos.

Another cheap mod is port matching the intake and porting your head. There is some places on the internet and even on here I believe that show you how to do that. All you need is a set of tools and some money to spend on gaskets and such.....oh and some time to do it :D

thanks for the tip much appreciated... i have a high flow intake and exhaust so the throttle body mod should do nicely with that combo as you posted... i posted on a cheap lift response about using v8 springs in the front and putting the stock fronts in the rear as apposed to getting a lift kit... and feedback on that from anyone would be appreciated as well. good idea or bad idea???
