You could go up to 235 75 15 without any problems.
Not sure about these days but back a number of years the 235's were cheaper then the 225's.

 

i have a 1999 jeep cherokee sport the manual say you can run 215/75R15 or 225/75R15

 

I have 235/75/15s and they work perfectly.
